How to Get to Our Apartments and Villa in Thasos
Note: Our apartments are located just a 10-minute walk from the ferry port of Limenas. However, we recommend renting a car to get around the island. If you don't have your own car, we can help you find the best rental deals with our partners in Thessaloniki, Kavala, or Limenas.
General Information
There are no direct flights to the island, so you'll need to take the ferry to arrive in Limenas. There are two ports that offer connections: Kavala and Keramoti. We recommend using the Keramoti port as it's a shorter and cheaper connection.
If you arrive by plane
Airport Thessaloniki
If you're arriving at the Thessaloniki airport, you can rent a car at the airport or use a shuttle service (around 40€) to get to the ferry port of Keramoti. If you choose to rent a car, please be aware that you'll need to pay road tolls (about 10 Euros) and the ferry fee for the car (about 18 Euros, see ferry section). The trip from the airport to Keramoti takes about 2 hours, so please calculate with a total buffer of 3 hours if you need to catch the last ferry. Then continue with the ferry to Limenas.
Airport Kavala
If you're arriving at the Kavala airport, we recommend taking a taxi to Keramoti (about a 15-minute drive, approx. 20 Euros) and renting a car in Limenas. You can also rent a car directly from the airport. Then continue with the ferry to Limenas.

As of December 2021, the price for a car is 18 Euros, and adults pay 4 Euros, children (ages 5-10) pay 2 Euros, and infants (under 5 years old) ride for free. The trip takes approximately 30-45 minutes.
If you don't have your own car, you can rent one at the airport or on the island directly. If you want to rent a car in Thessaloniki, Kavala, or on Thasos, please contact us, and we may be able to get you a better offer.
Getting to the Apartments
From the Limenas ferry port, it's just a short 9-minute walk to our apartments. You can find the route on Google Maps or simply type "Meg Alexandrou 26, Limenas" or "Diamanti Apartments Downtown Limenas" into Google Maps.
Getting to the Villa
Our villa is located in Skala Potamias, where there are no official addresses. It's a 25-minute drive from the Limenas ferry port. You can find the route on Google Maps or simply type "Diamanti Villa Pool & BBQ" into Google Maps.
